Bekal Ramadhan Idul Fithri Description
This Android application is Provisions for Ramadan & (6) Eid al-Fitr. In PDF format.
Author : Muhammad Saiyid Mahadhir, Lc. M.Ag.
Eid al-Fitr is a combination of two words in Arabic, namely id (عيد) and fithr (فطر). Id is originally a fraction of the word al-aud which means returning which can also mean repeated because it occurs not just once but repeatedly, while the word fithr means eating or breaking the fast. So the combination of these two words means to return to eating or to return to breaking the fast after one month of fasting in the month of Ramadan.
Although there are some people who interpret it as returning fitrah (sacred) on the basis that fithr is defined as fitrah. This may also be justified as a prayer and hope that was promised by Allah through the words of the Prophet Muhammad:
“Indeed, Allah swt has obligated you to fast in Ramadan and I made it a sunnah to pray at night so whoever fasts and prays with full faith and calculation he will come out and be free from his sins like the day when he was born by his mother. (Narrated by An-Nasai and Ibn Majah)
