If you choose the type of game "to pass" then the game ends the moment one pair first reaches or exceeds 1001 points. This rule makes the game more dynamic and shorter, because everything is decided at the moment when the goal is crossed.
If you choose the game type "on enough" the game does not end automatically when someone reaches or exceeds 1001 points. Instead, it is played to the end of the current hand, giving each pair a chance to catch up.
The winner is the pair with the most points after the end of the hand in which 1001 points have been reached or exceeded.
