There are 2 ways to Apply for the Birth or Death Certificate Registration -
Method 1st - if Birth or Death event reporting happen within 21 days then its will be apply with the Civil Registration System under the Registration of Birth and Death (RBD) Act, 1969.
Method 2nd - if Birth or Death Event reporting happened after the 21 days of occurrence then it will be applied offline with the concerned Registrar (B&D).

The normal period of 21 days (from the date of occurrence) has been prescribed for reporting the birth, death and still birth events.

Birth or Death Registration Fee is different and state wise with the concerned health department.

If you apply under the Civil Registration System then you can easily download your certificate by input your reference and other details on the CRS portal but if you apply through after the 21 days, then you can download from respective state health department website.
