The City of Bolivar Missouri has a Property Inspection department which ensures that properties in the city are compliant with all building codes and standards. The city works with property owners who have allowed their property to become dilapidated or dangerous and has a process of escalation for each case. The Property Inspection department photographs each property and fills out an initial form, then contacts the property owner with the problems that need to be addressed. Cases are then escalated into hearings with the City Administrator if not resolved. This process is currently entirely on paper. This app will enable the city to transition to a digital platform to track their cases.
