The Bible is a revelation of God to man, consisting of sixty-six (66) books bound together and forming one book. It is divided into two testaments: The Old Testament has 39 books and The New Testament has 27. Twenty-one of the books of the Bible are historical, twenty-one are largely prophetic, twenty-one are in the form of letters and the two are primarily poetic.
Even though written by at least thirty-six different authors who were kings, farmers, generals, fishermen, ministers, priests, a tax collector, some were rich and some poor, stretching over a period of 1600 years, yet is the Bible one book because God was its real Author.
