Carexchange - Donation App Description
Carexchange is an innovative donation platform that is changing the world of charity. Through the app you can see the real needs of the charities, buy and donate exactly what the charities need in products, measure your real impact and make sure that your help really reaches the people in need.
How does it work:
- You easily and quickly create an account by downloading the application
- You see directly the various charitable organizations, as well as the percentage of completion of their needs. This percentage is an indicator of whether the needs requested by the charity have been met.
- Browse the organizations, learn more about them and choose the organization that suits you best.
- You can either manually select the products you want to buy and donate, seeing the organization's need for each product, or in a few seconds create the best possible donation basket, with SmartPick. You simply set the amount you want to donate, and the algorithm finds you the best possible combination of products, based on this amount and the organization's current needs. That way, you make an impact in the most effective way!
- Then, after reaching the donation products and proceeding to the completion, you are invited to pay with any of the available methods you wish. Payments are made in Stripe's 100% secure transaction area, so there is no question about the security of your payment details.
- Your contribution is complete! The selected products are sent as an order to the e-shop of the selected super market and you will be informed when they are delivered to the premises of the charity organization you helped. In addition, directly upon completion, you receive a thank you message from the organization, while you stay in touch with them for anything you need.
- You can track the progress of your donation step by step, from registration to delivery, through Donation Tracking.
- The charity will receive your products within 5-10 days of registration. Then, you will receive a relevant notification on your mobile phone, as well as a photo of the receipt from the organization, as proof of your contribution!
- And everything is ready! You just made the world a little better! You can always monitor your help statistics and impact, from the relevant menu of the application.
carexchange is not a civic organization, nor a non-profit organization. We are a for-profit intermediary between charities, people and product suppliers. By combining the operation of a normal company with social impact, we can be sustainable and achieve our vision: change donations, not only in Greece, but also around the world! Our main source of revenue is a small commission on sales revenue that suppliers of products have through our app. The platform is completely free for charities, while donors are not charged any additional costs, as their donation is 100% converted into products directed at people who need them.
The team that set up and manages this project consists of four 20-year-old students with a common vision: To change the world by combining entrepreneurship with social impact.
