An example of one of the missions.
Late 17th century, Caribbean. Spain is still strong, but England and France issue letters of marque, essentially legalizing piracy.
The goal of the Spaniards is to bring the galleons with a cargo of gold mined on the mainland to the island of Bermuda, from where it will go further to Europe, or to destroy all the pirates.
The goal of the pirates is to seize a cargo of gold. To do this, you need to weaken the galleons to 50% HP and board them, surrounding them with several small pirate ships.
Playing by the rules of a board game. There is a map of the sea, islands and settlements, divided into cells.
There is a compass spinner, which determines the wind and its strength, as well as the probability of success of the ship's broadside and the chance to board the ship.
Sailboats can only move downwind for a distance that depends on the angle to the wind and on the type of ship. Small ships with slanting sails can sail steeply to the wind (in the windward).
In a calm, large ships cannot move, only shoot if there is someone. Small ships can move one square on the oars.
The storm blows everyone away in the direction of the wind at different distances, the larger the ship, the further it blows away. If there are reefs or another ship in the path of the storm, then there will be a collision and the ships will receive damage.
You can repair in a friendly port.
The success of a volley at the enemy depends on the distance of the shot, the closer the enemy, the more chances to hit him.
