CateGPT, the Catholic chatGPT Description
https://categpt.chat
CateGPT is an entertaining way of rendering Catholic teaching, trying to be as faithful as possible to the texts of the Catholic Church, while at the same time giving the tool the aspect of a discussion. It was therefore decided to draw many of the answers from the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), and to use the OpenAI library as a model for ChatGPT. The best way to express these two aspects was to name the tool CatéGPT.
The project was born of a desire to make the fundamental texts of the Catholic Church accessible to the general public. We are convinced that the answers to most of today's questions can be found in its teaching. The difficulty today lies in finding the most appropriate texts to answer what we're looking for.
We therefore wanted to take advantage of the enthusiasm generated by the launch of ChatGPT, by trying to take over its operation and reducing its scope to the official texts of the Church.
CatéGPT's sources are limited to the immense database represented by the Vatican website. In addition to all the official texts of successive popes, we find the entire Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC), the texts of the Councils, the Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the Church, etc.
By choosing to restrict the scope of CatéGPT, we hope to be able to guarantee a certain reliability in the robot's responses.
