Those who believe and whose hearts are at rest in the remembrance of God. Verily, in the remembrance of God are hearts at rest [Al-Ra’d: 28].
Dhikr is the life of the heart, and a way for the heart to be relieved. Rather, with it the anguish is manifested, the worries go away, and the devils are expelled, but it should not be mentioned with the tongue with the heedlessness of the heart, and these words show the status of the dhikr among the acts of worship and its benefit for those who remember.
The true religion has urged that man should contact his Lord, to revive his conscience, purify himself, purify his heart, and derive from Him help and success, and for this reason it came in the decisive revelation, and the purified Sunnah of the Prophet, what calls for a lot of remembrance of God Almighty in every case, so the Almighty said: { يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ ذ ِكْراً كَثِيراً * وَسَبِّحُوهُ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلاً } [الأحزاب:41-42] وقال سبحانه: { وَالذَّاكِرِينَ اللَّهَ كَثِيراً وَالذَّاكِرَاتِ أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُمْ مَغْفِرَةً وَأَجْراً عَظِيماً } [الأحزاب:35] وقال جل شأنه: { وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ كَثِيراً That you may succeed} [Al-Anfal: 45] And the Almighty said: {So remember Me, I will remind you} [Al-Baqara: 152].
This application contains an important number of supplications that a person can use to remember and supplicate to God Almighty.
