Takbeer has a great merit at all times. The Most High said (O you wrapped up, stand up and give warning, and your Lord is the Greatest).
It is recommended for a Muslim to say it on Islamic holidays and rituals, and the virtue of takbeer in the two feasts is due to what the days preceding both Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr carry in terms of sanctity and status with God Almighty, in addition to the fact that takbeer is the best speech after the Holy Qur’an. ففي عيد الأضحى وما يسبقه من أيام عشر ذي الحجة، ونسك الحج المُتَقرَّب بها إلى الله سبحانه تعالى يقول تعالى(لَن يَنَالَ اللهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلاَ دِمَاؤُهَا وَلَكِن يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوَى مِنكُمْ كَذَلِكَ سَخَّرَهَا لَكُمْ لِتُكَبِّرُوا اللهَ عَلَى مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَبَشِّرِ المُحْسِنِينَ)،وشهر نزول القرآن الكريم الذي يسبق Eid al-Fitr, the Almighty said (And that you complete the number and that you magnify Allah for having guided you, and that you may be grateful).
