100 ברכות Description
Operation "100 Blessings a Day" is an initiative that brings back to life the regulation that King David installed when an epidemic broke out that claimed the lives of 100 people from Israel every day.
When they started implementing the installation it stopped dying.
The installation is also mentioned in the Talmud (without minachots, MG 2):
Rabbi Meir used to say that a person is obliged to bless a hundred blessings every day as it is said: "And now Israel, what has the Lord your God asked of you..." (Deuteronomy 12:12)
And Rashi's interpretation: Do not count anything but a hundred...
All the judges agreed with this rule.
The Lubavitcher Rebbe said about this: "The matter of 400 blessings a day is something that belongs to each and every one of Israel, both men and women, as well as children" (Shichat Shabbat Kodesh Parashat Hai Sarah 22 in Mr. Chesvan 1991) and said that one should engage in the operation This is to instruct and accustom the people, especially the women, and even to spread among Klal Yisrael to carry out this operation in its entirety and a good blessing will come upon all.
The current operation was launched in the month of Kislu 2018.
