ABOUT THE GAME
The unique ‘plus’ of Space Dodge is the innovative mechanic where you can choose which wall you want to move on. With this mechanic, Space Dodge is much more fun to play and encourages you to replay the levels, as you can choose different walls on each playthrough, depending on the incoming obstacle. Each wall (except for the fourth one) has a different function that can change your game in different ways:
1) The first wall makes you smaller.
2) The second wall allows you to fly.
3) The third wall stops all moving obstacles.
The walls’ functions never change. To successfully get past the obstacles, it’s crucial that you choose the correct wall based on the type of the obstacle that you face. Some obstacles can only be overcome with one particular wall function.
Space Dodge has two modes: Endless mode and Levels.
ENDLESS MODE
In the endless mode, you can try to get as far as possible with a limited number of lives, and the gameplay gets progressively harder & faster as the time goes on. During the gameplay, special portals may appear, which allows you to gain extra lives, coins or power-ups. If you collect enough power-ups from these special portals, you can permanently gain one wall function of your choice.
In the endless mode, three types of events can occur:
1) Life event: During the event, you need to pick up all lives. If you succeed, not only do you keep the lives that you picked up, but you also obtain a shield. The shield protects you from losing a life and any bonuses that you may have.
2) Coin event: If you pick up all the coins during the event, you subsequently obtain a coin each time you get past an obstacle. This lasts until you run into an obstacle or until another event starts.
3) Power-up event: In this event, you can try to collect as many power-ups as possible. If you collect enough power-ups, you can permanently gain one wall function of your choice.
LEVELS
Besides the endless mode, there are also individual levels that can be played on 3 different difficulty modes: Easy, Medium, and Hard. The differences between them are the speed at which you move and the number of coins that you get if you successfully complete a level.
COINS
You can obtain coins from both the endless mode and the individual levels or you can buy them. The coins can be used to get new characters, character skins and their chromas.
