Emotions Description
What is the problem?
Social media is creating a superficial and empty society based on values that do not represent real life. Thousands of followers, infinite scroll-down, success, money, immediacy, appearances, addictive algorithms... what we see and publish on social networks is not reality nor does it define how we are or how we feel. We only publish the positive, the attractive and what we want people to see about our life, leaving aside everything else.
The new generations are crying out to be heard and mental health problems have exploded. It is necessary for social networks to adapt to the new needs of young people and create platforms that prioritize mental health and humanity above all. That's why Emotions was born.
What is Emotions?
Emotions is a social well-being network, aimed at young people from Generation Z, who want to take care of their mental health and who are tired of the current platforms and what they have become.
Emotions normalizes the everyday situations that all of us experience every day, both positive and negative. During the day, we all have moments of joy, fun or happiness, but we also have moments of stress, anxiety or sadness. Because? Because we are humans and we feel the same emotions. We want it to be normal to talk about how we feel, what worries us, what motivates us or what our aspirations are. That is, at Emotions we want to be able to be ourselves.
Our goal is to normalize mental health and change the way we use and consume social networks to a model that prioritizes the well-being of users and their mental health.
How does it work?
1. There are only private profiles (no public profiles) and there is a limit of 50 friends. We are against having thousands of followers and following people you don't know. We want to prioritize real relationships and your close friends.
2. Every day you have to reflect on your life, on yourself and share it with your friends through two types of publications (we will include more if you like it):
- Question of the Day: Every day the user has to answer a question that has to do with mental health, personal development, introspection, etc. For example: What are you proud of about yourself? o If you could write a book about your life to this day, what would the learnings be?
- Diary: Each day the user has to reflect on their day, writing about the best of their day, the worst of their day, and optionally, a photo of a moment of the day that they want to share with their friends.
Posts will only be visible for 24 hours. Only you will have access to all your publications from My Profile.
