The status of supplication on the Night of Power
The supplication of Laylat al-Qadr has a great status that it derives from the value and virtue of Laylat al-Qadr, this blessed night in which God, the Blessed and Exalted, promised His servants the revelation of mercy and forgiveness. "And your Lord said, 'Call on Me, I will respond to you. Indeed, those who are too arrogant to worship Me will enter Hell in contempt.'"
And supplication increases the Muslim’s connection with his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, in word and deed, and whenever the supplication emanates from a sincere heart attached to God Almighty, the gates of the heavens are opened for him, and God Almighty responds to him and rewards the supplicant for it. Supplication to God Almighty cannot be wasted, for it is either answered and the supplicant is granted what he asked God Almighty, or evil is prevented from him, or God delays it and stores for him a similar benefit, on the authority of Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with them both - with a chain of transmission: “Ask God of His bounty, for God loves to be asked.”
