Lamyat al-Arab is a poem by a pre-Islamic poet, Al-Shanfari. It was known as the Lamaiyat of the Arabs, only from the illiterates of the pre-Islamic era. The famous people of literature and language dealt with it with explanation and analysis, including al-Zamakhshari, al-Mufaddal al-Dhabi, al-Mubarrad and others. Orientalists also admired it, and it was translated into English, French, German, Italian and Greek. And the orientalists in it, the abundance of its words, and its honest expression of the life and morals of the Arab in the time of ignorance, and about the life of the tramps in particular.
