Mehen Description
Mehen, or Snake Game, was played more than 5000 years ago in Egypt. Less than twenty boards have survived but the rules have been lost! You will play with the rules of Masked Petaf which were designed to make the game more tactical and less subject to luck: Mehen remains a game of chance.
To win you must have more points than your opponent.
You get 5 points per pawn that reaches the center of the board, 3 points per pawn taken, 2 points per pawn still in play, 1 point per pawn in the starting area, and a bonus of 2 points for the first Lion to reach the center.
To move, you roll a die that results in 1, 2, 3, 5, 8 or -3.
At the beginning the Lions are not free. You must free them by bringing at least one pawn to the center of the board and having more pawns in the starting area.
The game ends when one of the Lions has made a round trip to the center of the board.
If the end of a move brings one of your pawns to a square occupied by 2 pawns, one of the pawns takes your starting place. If it is a Lion, you are eaten!
When a Lion arrives on an occupied square, all the pawns are eaten! If it is a Lion, the latter takes the starting place and is frozen for 3 turns.
You have the choice between 2 background musics.
Saving is automatic.
The rules and the game are in French and English.
You can play solo or in duo.
