From a series about which the martyr Muhammad al-Sadr (may God sanctify his secret) said: My fathers and grandfathers to the infallible are all between a scholar and a worshiper.
His birth:
Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr was born on Rajab 14, 1394 AH, but on August 4, 1974 AD in Gregorian history, in the honorable Najaf, and he is the fourth son of the martyr Iraqi reference, Sayyid Muhammad Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr (may God sanctify himself), and his brothers are (Sayyid Mustafa al-Sadr, Sayyid Moa’mal al-Sadr, and Sayyid Murtada al-Sadr).
His upbringing:
He was brought up in the family of Sayed al-Mawla (may God sanctify his secret), and he was raised by him, and he was the one who directed and taught him. He was the first of his children to be baptized and join the Hawza, although he was the youngest of them, as he was the last of his four brothers, Mr. Mustafa, Mr. Mortada, and Mr. Moa’mal. He entered the Hawza in the year 1408, corresponding to the year 1988 AD, at the Religious University of Najaf, after completing intermediate studies, where his holy father gave him the choice between continuing in it or joining the Hawza. His son’s answer was that I choose what you choose for me, so his father chose for him the path of his fathers and grandfathers. The path of enjoining good and forbidding evil.
His academic life:
He began his academic studies in the early eighties, completed his elementary and intermediate studies, then went to study in the Hawza, and was baptized by his father, the martyr, Sayyid Muhammad al-Sadr, on the ninth of Rabi` al-Awwal of the year 1413 AH.
He studied laws and logic with his martyred father and in Al-Sadr Religious University with Sheikh Muhammad Al-Jawahiri, then he studied the origins of Al-Muzaffar and the Damascene Luminousness with Sayyid Muhammad Kalantar and Al-Makasib, philosophy, jurisprudence, sufficiency, and jewels of rhetoric, and completed the Alfiya bin Malik with Sayyid Adnan Al-Shatri. His Eminence taught students of the Hawza after 1991 AD and from The most prominent lessons given by Luma, Millennium and Origins.
In addition to attending his father's lessons on the sufficiency of origins and interpretation, lights on the revolution of Al-Hussein (PBUH), and fragments of the philosophy of the history of Al-Hussein (PBUH). He was one of the children of the Holy Martyr distinguished by his sharp intelligence. His father himself testified to him on many occasions and in front of many brothers.
