yep it's sonic 1 alright. yes there are ads which of course it's a free mobile game ads are a given. the ads aren't too intrusive but they do get a bit annoying. also the game isn't in wide screen. I kinda get why for the gameplay since sonic 1 wasn't made with wide screen TVs in mind but for the new menus (which look great btw) im not sure why they're not in wide-screen but whatever. being able to play as knuckles and tails is a welcome addition tho. overall it's a great port of a great game.

I just downloaded the game and Everytime I try to play it plays the two first transitions but after it brings me to a black screen. No sound. Just a black screen. I read a previous review of someone having the same issue on Android like me so I would really like to have this issue fixed 🙏 If this problem is fixed I'll come back and change my rating. Thank you!!

Disclaimer: I bought no ads instantly before I even played a level. I do not have any experience with the free version's ads. This game is awesome. It always has been. But this version is something else. You see, it's not emulated. It is rebuilt from the ground up. Therefore it has some awesome new features. Examples include: Playing as Tails, Knuckles, and Sonic+Tails; Being in widescreen, and more! Sonic also works really well on mobile! I have not run into any problems. Highly recommend!
