Crossroads LITE Description
The Crossroads Interdimensional Tabletop RPG is an app-based tabletop roleplaying game designed for quick and easy adventures, particularly one-shot adventures. It is story focused and designed to work with any setting. Character creation can be done in just minutes.
Crossroads LITE is a free version of the full game which players may use to test and learn the game. Many features are locked in the free version. You will need to purchase the paid version to unlock everything.
The Crossroads ITRPG is a multiplayer game to be played in person or online (over phone, video chat, or text) with other players. Each game must be run by a Game Master, a player that controls the story and determines how player actions affect the world, themselves, and each other.
The app contains rich resources to assist Game Masters.
INTERDIMENSIONAL
The Crossroads is an interdimensional tabletop RPG. It is designed to work with Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Steampunk, Historical, Fictional, or any other setting you care to imagine, including any book, movie, or game. Through the default world setting, The Crossroads, you can have a mix of characters from various settings or you can play in within a single setting.
How does a samurai warrior respond to an alien invasion? How does a druid act when they find themselves on a spaceship? Step into The Crossroads and find out.
QUICK
The Crossroads is designed to be quick and specifically to make one-shot adventures easy (although it can equally be used for longer campaigns). Instead of spending an hour or two building a character for a two-hour adventure, you can build a character in just a few minutes, or even in seconds with the robust character generator.
CHARACTERS
Characters are built with a number of skills, traits, and items that create a balance between simple and complex: Simple, but not too much. There are no classes or predefined paths of progression. Every stat, skill, weapon, and item can be upgraded with PowerUps, letting you define your character as you want.
STORY FOCUSED
The Crossroads puts the focus on roleplaying and story, not combat. While you can have any sort of combat and battles that you need, you will find that your story and session do not get bogged down by combat unless you want it to. Instead of Hit Points, your health is determined by the injuries received during your adventures, giving you a better feel for your character's injuries and health.
POWERUPS
PowerUps are points that you can earn through the course of a game, or as part of character creation, that will allow you to customize and improve your character by focusing on those aspects that you want. There’s no defined path of progression. You can choose to focus on building a tank by buying armor, health, and strength or you can build a caster by focusing on Intelligence and your magic skill.
GAME MASTERS
The Crossroads puts more onus on the Game Master to create and manage the story, but with a little practice and some improvisation skill you may find that the lack of 200 page rule books to be refreshing and freeing. We have also created a number of random generators and calculators that will help you along the way.
The Game Master may change, alter, or ingnore any of these rules (which are more what you might call guidelines) as they deem appropriate to the situation. The point of the game is to have fun.
