CS Coltea 1920 Brasov Description
Coltea Brașov was a military team, established in 1920, composed exclusively of players from Brașov.
From the first years after its establishment, Colțea Brașov was considered as the team of the bourgeois class in the city and built its own stadium in the Titulescu Park in Brașov in a short time.
After only 7 years since its establishment, the team built in Brașov, would propose winning the national title.
In 1927, the local team plays the final of the National Championship but loses against Chinezul Timișoara, after two spectacular matches (2-2 in the round and 3-4 in the return leg).
At that time, Coltea Brașov was the first team from our city to reach the final of the National Championship.
The runner-up title won would give even more courage to the people from Brasov, who in 1928 managed to win the supreme trophy, with a new leader in the team, Petterfy, who scored the winning goal in the quarter-finals and qualified the team further. The semifinals were full of emotions after 6-4 for our team against those from Mihai Viteazul Chisinau.
In the final, the Brasov players prevailed with a score of 3-2, the winning goal being scored in the last minutes of the game by "skier" Kemeny.
Coltea lived a little but intensely, disappearing in 1931, and now in 2015, the spirit of this team will revive!
