have a goal instead of time limit. have golds combo make a diamond stone. diamond can convert grey stone to gold.(longhold grey) or 3 diamonds make power stone and wins round. power stones vary but each one a musical note. then when all notes collected, a cube 'board' of notes instead of colours. need to then arrange note power stones into chords or a tune? prefer holdswipe to move with any direction choice, (replenishments therefore could come from beneath too if you swipe piece to go up etc.)
