D-DAY Description
It's June 6th, 1945 and you must defeat the Nazis by storming the beaches one soldier at a time. Armed with a machine gun and a number of grenades, make it through four gruelling bullet-ridden levels covered in landmines, canons and gun-toting Nazi soldiers. If that weren't perilous enough, you'll be faced with water, quicksand and deep holes just waiting to swallow you up faster than Hitler eats his vegetables.
Each level concludes with ever-more lethal and defended bosses, including automated canons, dancing Nazis, and finally the Fuhrer himself. Do you have what it takes to defeat him and reclaim France? Do you? Do any of us?
This game is historically "accurate".
Created using the PICO-8 engine, D-Day is a genuine 8 bit game running on your modern device. The display, behind the CRT TV effect, is a mere 128 * 128 pixels, with a palette of 16 colours. Forget your retinas: these are all the colours and pixels you need, and all you will get.
