DataGuard Pro Description
DataGuard Pro is a security solution designed to protect corporate data on Android devices by enforcing strict measures against unauthorized access and data sharing. It prompts for a password when a USB cable or device, SD card, or Bluetooth connection is detected, and if the password is entered incorrectly, the device is formatted to safeguard sensitive data.
Note: 'DataGuard' is the default password for accessing the settings.
Key Features:
Automatic Device Formatting: If an unauthorized connection is made via USB, SD card or Bluetooth, DataGuard Pro prompts for a password. If the correct password is not entered within 40 seconds or if the password prompt is canceled, the device is automatically formatted to protect your data. After two incorrect password attempts, DataGuard Pro will wipe the device, ensuring no sensitive data is compromised.
Compatibility: DataGuard Pro is compatible with Android versions 9 through 15, providing comprehensive security across most Android devices released in the last four years.
How DataGuard Pro Works:
Whenever a potentially risky action is detected—such as a USB or SD card connection, Bluetooth activation, SIM card removal, or placing the device in airplane mode—DataGuard Pro immediately prompts for a password. If the password is not entered within 40 seconds, the app initiates a full device wipe.
In addition, DataGuard Pro offers a customizable admin password feature, allowing a designated administrator to receive real-time email alerts for any security-related events. If admin permissions are disabled, the app will automatically wipe the device to prevent potential security breaches. This feature can only be disabled by an administrator, ensuring full control of device protection at all times.
