You’re one of the millions of people playing ECHO, an immensely popular VR MMO that allows its users to experience its simulated universe with all five senses. Having an interest in technology and games since you were young, you’ve spent most of your time in this world to enjoy what it has to offer.
But then news breaks out—deaths involving women found dead while wearing VR equipment. Cause of death? Heart attacks, according to medical examiners.
Still, it’s only been a handful of cases, so you brush it off... Until one day, after logging into ECHO, you find yourself in a location different from where you last logged out. A once bustling and vibrant city is now a dark, rundown neighborhood, devoid of people. Well, except for one—

Despite meeting online, Austin is your closest friend. He’s an introvert who loves video games, much like yourself, and is incredibly intelligent. You two once made plans to meet up in real life, but in the end, you were stood up. To this day, Austin still apologies for what happened, but has yet to explain himself. Sweet and loyal, Austin is always there to help you... so much so, that he’s willing to put his life on the line to protect you. Damien - Cocky Ex-streamer
A handsome young man with an arrogant demeanor, Damien used to be a famous streamer, broadcasting to tens of thousands of viewers daily—but one day, he simply vanished. Little did you know you’d run into him in an eerie, foreign place where an axe murderer is out to get you. You quickly learn that Damien is headstrong and overconfident, true to his online persona.
