DRR Terminology App SL Update Description
Following the great success of the development of the first ever created multilingual DRR Dictionary, with UNDRR Terminologies translated into five local languages, it was key to make this resource widely accessible. The development of a DRR Dictionary mobile application will provide an easy to use and with its offline capacity a constant companion for everybody involved in sustainable development. Enriched with audio translations and universal pictograms this app will be another milestone to sustain local communities in contributing to and understanding of disaster risk management. By creating this capacity, it will diminish the vulnerabilities created by limited access to trustworthy information in disaster settings and creating a resilient Sierra Leone through multilingual crisis communication.
