Elsinor AR Description
ELSINOR AR is a public AR experience inviting participants to get to know more about Elsinor and its Teatro Testori’s activities, story and inspiration.
Produced by Elsinor Centro di produzione teatrale, a theatre company based in Italy. The experience lasts roughly 12 minutes and includes immersive sound, video, 3D animation, music and interactive elements. The app also gives the users the chance to take ‘augmented pictures’ during the experience.
The experience can be accessed by downloading this application on either a cell phone or tablet and then scanning the poster located in the noticeboard outside the entrance of the theatre, in viale Vespucci 13, Forlì.
The different sections of the experience introduce the theatre company, the activities that take place at the theatre, the building itself, and Giovanni Testori, to whom the theatre is dedicated since 1995. Giovanni Testori was one of the greatest Italian intellectuals of the second half of the twentieth century. Figurative artist, art critic, essayist, writer and playwright: it is practically impossible to confine Testori to a label that connotes his main activity.
The app also gives the possibility to see from outside the inside of the building in a 360° bubble, at any time of the day, 365 days per year.
We hope to add more places and perspectives in the near future, including the other two theatres run by Elsinor in Milan and Florence. The app is also designed to have the chance to update and enrich the single experience from time to time, so that the audience can find updates and new contents.
Recommendations for best viewing:
The experience is accessible by either a smartphone or tablet.
Earphones or Earbuds for better quality audio.
Downloading the app can happen at any point prior to the experience but only activates at the proper location.
The experience requires about 12 minutes and is fully accessible to wheelchairs.
People who have trouble walking will be able to adjust or abbreviate the experience.
Sunscreen, a hat or umbrella as experiences are outdoors.
In summer, due to the sun's position, the best moments of the day are early morning and late afternoon.
