FIND - Perdidos & Achados Description
What do you do when you lose a document (or other important item)?
Most people advertise on the radio and/or go to the nearest police station. But how many radios do we have in the country? How many times a day will they have time to announce that they have “lost/found” items in their possession?
Well, these issues can be overcome with the services offered by this Angolan project called “Find - Lost & Found”, which promises to connect people and institutions that have these items in their possession.
It is a startup whose service application, FIND, aims to help citizens find their lost documents on public roads anywhere in the country, quickly and free of charge, without necessarily having to be registered on the platform.
Using online and offline communication tools, FIND provides a place where individuals can search and register lost and found items and which is designed to facilitate contact with others who are in possession of information about a lost or found Object or Item.
An interesting feature of this service is to have a space for entities, which will be able to register the items that are found. For example, airports, police stations, hospitals… and the list goes on. With this service, people will not have to travel around the city to find out which police station their lost identity card is in, they will just need to search and find out that they are in “Squad X”, just go there and pick up the document.
“We want to help the state and the citizen to save costs that could be applied to other social projects. The reissue of any document will cost the state and the citizen money, time, human resources and other means. If the lost and/or misplaced documents are on our platform, it will be much easier for the citizen to have access without the need to receive a duplicate, since the first copy is still valid”, says Flávio Timpi, CEO and representative of the startup.
