Fire Chaser Description
Fire Chaser is a free mobile application, developed for the inhabitants of Bouches-du-Rhône and powered by the association of the same name to meet the need to inform the general public of the occurrence of a fire and its evolution.
→ NOTIFICATIONS 🚒
With this application, you are alerted in real time thanks to notifications that allow you to follow the progress of a fire.
When an event occurs, you receive a notification and are informed that a follow-up starts in the application. If you wish, you can choose to unfollow this event and are thus unsubscribed from all future updates concerning this follow-up.
The presentation thumbnail of an event is made up of several pieces of information:
- The date of creation in the app;
- The title of the event;
- The state, which also gives it its color;
- And the date of the last update.
Two icons at the top of the thumbnail allow you to:
- Follow or unfollow an event;
- Share the event with someone (via sms, messenger, whatsapp, etc.).
There are three states for an event (fire) declared in the application:
🔴 In progress: the fire has just started or has been in progress for several minutes / hours.
🔵 Controlled: the fire is no longer evolving, some hot spots are still visible, but the firefighters are controlling the situation.
⚪ Completed: fire drowning or extinguished. This color indicates that the association has stopped covering the claim.
🔥 A report button which is represented by a flame icon allows you to share information when you witness a fire starting.
→ EVENT FOLLOW-UP 🔔
By clicking on the presentation thumbnail of an event, you access the details of the follow-up of the event and new information:
The first tab, which also allows you to define the state of the event, displays in chronological order all the information related to the evolution of the event.
It is possible to share specific information with someone by clicking on the share icon at the top right of each information in the newsfeed.
Event update information may contain external links.
The second tab, called “Infos” allows you to view important information related to the current event that is not necessarily related to its evolution:
- Accuracy on the place;
- Reminder of instructions;
- Messages from public authorities;
- Etc.
Finally, the third “Map” tab will allow you to precisely locate the event on a map dynamically.
⭐ As on the presentation thumbnail you can, on this page, subscribe or unsubscribe in order to follow or no longer follow the updates of this event.
→ PREVENTION 📋
You have easy access to safety instructions linked to the territorial specificities of the Bouches-du-Rhône department as well as to the access card to the forest massifs updated by the prefecture.
