1. 한국외국어대학교 재학생인 주인공이 학교에 졸업 논문을 두고 옴
2. 당일 엄청난 폭우로 인해 학교 입구로부터 공학관까지 침수
3. 폭우가 멈추지 않아 공학관까지 잠길 수 있어 무조건 가지러 가야 하는 상황
4. 결국 주인공은 잠수하여 공학관까지 다녀오기로 결심함
