Permissions

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION
Optional permission that can be granted if Foldersync should detect SSID name on Android 9 or newer.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Needed to determine current network state
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE
Needed to access info about the current WiFi state (SSID etc.)
CHANGE_NETWORK_STATE/CHANGE_WIFI_STATE
These two are needed to be allowed to turn WiFi on and off
CHANGE_WIFI_MULTICAST_STATE
Needed to autodiscover WebDAV, SMB, FTP and SFTP servers using Bonjour/UPNP protocol

Comments about FolderSync Pro Android Version

Exclude subfolders is no longer in the options when creating folderpairs. I assume this is now supposed to be done with filters despite the old simplicity of just adding a check in the setup. Online folder sync documentation doesnt seem to tell you what to put in the filter to exclude all subfolders. I tried many different generic wild card operators none seem to work. I am surely not gonna make a filter for each subfolder.

Exceedingly simple to use. Terrific app! One thing they need to change pronto is an error in "connection" settings for sync'ing a folder. You can tell the software to only sync when the device is connected to a particular Wifi SSID. But it throws an error. If you then disallow that very same SSID, then it syncs just fine. They have programmed the inputs incorrectly for these two fields and they need to be switched.

I would give 10 stars if I could. Best app for syncing to and from multiple devices and multiple cloud providers. I use it with google drive and one drive. I heavily rely on this app and it has not let me down. Customer service is outstanding. I had a question and surprised to see response the same day and my problem was solved. Small price to pay for all the time it will save you.
