GPD - Grupo de Plantio Direto Description
DEFINITION OF APPLICATION:
This application was developed to help the producer to evaluate the importance of measuring each row of his planting and to ensure better plantability. Longitudinal Distribution can be measured through some parameters, the main ones being the Coefficient of Variation (CV%) and the regularity of distribution (acceptable, doubles and failures)
COEFFICIENT OF VARIATION:
The coefficient of variation is defined by the measure of dispersion of the spacing between seeds and / or plants in relation to the mean.
The higher the CV% value, the greater the variation in relation to the average, that is, the irregularity of distance between the plants increases.
DISTRIBUTION REGULARITY:
Another quality parameter of Plantability is the regularity of plant distribution can be classified into acceptable, double and flawed spacing.
Acceptable: When the distance between plants is greater than 0.5 and less than 1.5 times the ideal distance
Dual: When the distance between plants is less than 0.5 times the ideal distance
Failure: When the distance between plants is greater than 1.5 times the ideal distance
ERROR CAUSES:
The causes of lack of uniformity in planting range from the speed of planting, problems with the seed dosing disc, general adjustment of the seeder, uniform depth of seed deposition, closing of the planting furrow, maintenance of the seeder, etc.
