Guardians of the Forest Gamebo Description

The Gamebook “Guardians of the Forest” is a hybrid media aimed at children aged 8 to 12 years-old. It contains game and app book elements and it is intended to stimulate executive functions, such as working memory, cognitive flexibility, and inhibitory control.
The Gamebook was developed by the Virtual Communities Research Network (UNEB-UFBA). It has the playable character Lyu, an 8-year-old girl who will save the Amazon Forest from deforestation with the help of a host of mythical characters who inhabit the forest, which includes Yara, Curupira, and Saci Pererê.
