4 phases of game play
1. ROLL- Set aside the Vivid D20 and select 1, 2 or 3 SERVICE DICE. Combine with the rest of the dice and roll them all. If your 1 of your SERVICE DlE lands on Vivid, Roll your Vivid D20 DIE to determine your guests desired vivid color.
2. NARRATIVE- (story building) Organize and interpret your dice. Use the "Guest Information Card" layout inside the box to help you organize and start building your story. Example: Your guest has full, medium texture, straight hair with no previous chemicals but their porosity is 2-5. Creative Director- get creative and tell your group who this person is. How do you explain this porosity? One possibility is that they have extra long hair and this porosity is the natural outcome. Another explanation could be that they have medium length hair and that they use hot tools like a blow dryer and curling iron daily. This is in important distinction to make because you may base your final formula on their lifestyle and hair care regimen. Someone with waist length hair may make less frequent salon visits and may not realize the maintenance their current hair color request requires. Someone who styles their mid length hair daily may be prepared for more maintenance but needs some coaching on properly caring for their color. Prolonged and frequent heat exposure can make color fade and shift quickly.
These are all important factors regarding your guests hair that must be determined by the Creative Director before moving to the consultation phase.
3. CONSULTATION -This can be done as a group discussion or as individuals followed by comparing answers. You must decide: is this service even possible? If not you must be prepared to offer an alternative in the formulation phase.
*For advanced game play include a price quote and estimated service time.
4. FORMULATION- All players formulate for the desired result as shown by the Hair Dice or for their chosen alternative if they believe desired look is not achievable or advisable. Compare formulas to see how many different ways there can be to achieve the look.
Be prepared to explain your answer.
Vote as a group for the best formula and roll again for your next guest.
