HK Train Tap : Tool for MTR Description
No ads. No scrolling. No clutter. Get MTR "next train" info quickly and automatically to save yourself from rushing to the platform when there is no need. The app requires Internet Connection (through mobile data or via wi-fi) and Location Services to properly function as intended, although train information can be displayed without Location Services by manually inputting a station.
Languages supported: English, Traditional Chinese 廣東話.
Features include:
On start-up, or when resumed, the app will automatically detect the closest MTR station and display the available lines at that station.
For stations that are only served by one line, the app will automatically provide "next train" departure info for the next two trains in either direction (as applicable) on start-up, when resumed, or when selected through either the "Get Closest Station Info" or "Manual Search" features (see below).
The closest station can be updated by clicking the "Get Closest Station Info".
If Location Services are not enabled or for any other reason, the "Manual Search" function can be used to input a station to retrieve data for.
The "next train" information will also show the stopping point of the applicable trains, useful for lines in which trains sometimes do not go all the way to the terminus (i.e. during "rush hour") or on lines that have multiple terminus points.
