IATA AGM 2023 Description
The 79th IATA Annual General Meeting (AGM) and World Air Transport Summit (WATS) takes place on 4-6 June 2023 in Istanbul, Türkiye, hosted by Pegasus Airlines and co-hosted by AnadoluJet.
IATA’s 300 member airlines will validate the Association’s work and set its strategic direction in the AGM.
In the WATS, which immediately follows the AGM, the industry’s most pressing issues are debated. A highlight is the Diversity and Inclusion Awards, which recognize organizations and individuals who are making a difference in driving the industry’s 25by2025 initiative to make the aviation industry more gender balanced. The event also features the CEO Insights Panel, as well as panel discussions on crucial industry topics, including how the industry is progressing towards its net zero carbon emissions by 2050 goal.
Critically, the event is made possible with the generous sponsorship from the global community of IATA’s Strategic Partners and local industry supporters. In total, some one thousand delegates are expected to participate, including airline CEOs and senior executives, key regulators, leaders from across the air transport supply chain and media.
