ALFA grew with Umuarama and today is an icon in Quality Education.
The history of the Alfa de Umuarama Course and College began in the 1980s, more precisely in 1982, when the Alfa College replaced the João XXIII College, which had existed since 1974.
In 1987, Colégio Alfa entered a new phase of its management, starting to develop a teaching model focused on local, regional and state needs, starting a great revolution in the educational system with an excellent team of professionals led by professor Luiz Carlos Rodrigues.
At that time, Alfa's facilities were still modest, located only on Rua Desembargador Antônio Franco Ferreira da Costa (near the Umuarama Forum). In total, there were only 200 students enrolled in secondary and supplementary education from grades 5 to 8, who took evening classes.
During the day, the classrooms were used for preschool, elementary school and high school up to the 3rd year. But, over the years, Alfa's teaching methodology gained recognition, and consequently more students.
In 1992, new investments and a new business attitude meant that the College gained more physical space. The institution gains its second headquarters, built on Avenida Parigot de Souza, with approximately 3,000 m2. The investments did not stop there. In 1996, the third headquarters of Alfa Umuarama was completed on Rua Arapongas. Aimed at serving Terceirão and pre-university students.
Alfa evolved, grew and became a reference with a team of excellent teachers and collaborators who believed in and transformed Alfa into an institution recognized throughout the State of Paraná.
In 2009, the Alfa Umuarama Group wrote another important chapter in its history, investing in perhaps its most daring venture. The Capital of Friendship further consolidated itself as a regional reference in offering quality education with the inauguration of Faculdade Alfa de Umuarama. Today, the enterprise is seen as a great project, which was born on its own two feet and offers extensive services, with an excellent teaching team, strictly stipulated workload, extra resources, first-rate laboratories with electronic whiteboards, excellent bibliographic collection, library and rooms equipped with multimedia resources. Faculdade ALFA began its activities with three courses, namely: Management Processes (company management), Marketing and Internet Systems. In total there are more than 300 students and the number will increase even more with the new classes. The courses at Faculdade Alfa were approved and recognized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC). In addition to undergraduate courses, Faculdade Alfa was also created with three postgraduate courses. One in Education, another in Law and one in the Business area.
Faculdade Alfa follows a global trend that has been gaining strength in numerous countries. Higher technology courses, which were created with the aim of meeting the direct needs of the job market. Many medium and large companies have opted for graduates from higher technology courses, as they leave college with a very broad vision of their work and their role itself.
