FixMyCity is available for free to smart device users. Citizens can install the application on their device and use it in order to report damage at the points they wish, but also to monitor the progress of their reports. In particular, every citizen has the possibility to locate his location through the application, which performs an automatic location check. In the event that the citizen is located outside the municipality's boundaries, the application returns a relevant message and does not allow the process to continue. In the event that the citizen's location is located within the municipality's boundaries, the application gives the option of selecting a category of damage (waste, lighting, etc.) from a ready-made menu and then selecting a type of damage in the same way. wider public sector. The above transaction may be an application for the issuance of a certificate or attestation, a statement accompanied by attached documents or a simple request that requires - until now - the physical presence of the citizen at the public service.
