Investor Skills Description
Investor Skills is a brainwave therapy designed to improve and enhance investment decision-making abilities. As an investor, one allocates capital with the expectation of a future financial return, which can include a variety of investment types such as equity, debt securities, real estate, currency, commodity, derivatives, and more. Regardless of the type of investment, making investment decisions can be a complex process that requires a high level of cognitive functioning and emotional regulation.
Neuroscience research has shown that our brains react differently to money and financial decisions, and that these reactions can impact our investment choices. For example, MRI scans have revealed that when presented with an offer on how to split money, the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex is activated, which is linked to self-awareness and problem-solving abilities. This part of the brain can help us navigate complex financial decisions successfully.
Additionally, the MRI scans showed that those who chose stocks over bonds had more intense activity in the nucleus accumbens, a section of the brain involved in reward circuitry and the processing of emotions. On the other hand, those who chose bonds fired up the anterior insula, a part of the brain linked to the emotional processing of physical pain, which correlates with anxiety.
Investor Skills consists of three different sessions, each 22 minutes long. Session 1 is designed to improve general cognitive functioning and emotional regulation, while Session 2 is designed to enhance higher risk-taking abilities, and Session 3 is designed to enhance lower risk-taking abilities. It is important to note that either Session 2 or Session 3 is crucial to have a complete treatment.
To use the Investor Skills app, users will need large headphones or high-quality earphones with left and right channels correctly placed. By using this app regularly, investors may improve their ability to make sound investment decisions, regulate their emotions, and navigate the complexities of the financial world. Enjoy your explorations!
