There must be a problem specifically with the ya katakana. It is the only kana that I have an extremely low rating in. Drawing it just like the template isn't judged as being correct. It seems luck based. Even changing from strict to normal check tolerance doesn't work.

Just a kana tracing app. Awkward system. No real way to quiz you on your memory of them as it's not tolerant of the strokes not being exactly over the guides. Has promise but only feels halfway there at present.

This is one of the best I've found for being able to customize what you learn/practice (eg doesn't forcibly separate hiragana from katakana!) but the stroke check tolerance is *so* picky even at "extra forgiving" that I'm getting a lot of "wrong" that other apps don't ding. I try redrawing and even when I know I had a better overall form in my first try it as often as not accepts the second, sloppier version.
