Knotwords is a minimal and elegant logic puzzle — with words.

The rules are simple: arrange the letters in each section so every word is valid, across and down.

Each puzzle may seem difficult at first — but like all my favorite newspaper puzzles, it gets easier as you progress. Each step guides you naturally towards the solution.

This is the kind of game I've been trying to make my whole career — I'm amazed Jack and I discovered this design. We hope you like it.

Shooting to get all the achievements really highlights some of the flaws in this game. Today's classic puzzle is impossible, for example, because it includes a swear word. The hint shows I have it correct but it gets marked as incorrect and you can't finish the puzzle. For the monthly puzzle books, it's basically the same words every month. Great if you want to get through them quickly but a bit of a chore and pretty disappointing that the puzzles aren't a bit more crafted than they are.

dev team's slow responses meant that i paid for another yearlong subscription before my problem was addressed, so i'm dedicated to this for another year. it was initially interesting, but over time the replayability has really gone down. puzzles are constantly using the same words with little variation in style, and i've noticed two puzzles of the monthly pack being the exact same. the only thing i like about this game is the lack of stress when it comes to maintaining daily streaks.

Today's Classic is impossible to complete The bottom right vertical word is clearly "bastards" and the hint verifies this- but the game shows the pink highlighting as if it's not a word. If there's a profanity filter, the puzzle constructors need to know about it. I don't want to lose my streak over this. Unrelated: to justify achievements for 90 9-letter and 100 10-letter words, applicable words should appear more often than a few times per month. Otherwise, fun stuff, no complaints! :)
