Korona Rádió Description
The idea of creating a Hungarian radio station in Brasov is not new, but we had to wait until the fall of 2020, until the various ideas and threads began to intertwine and the implementation of the idea slowly began to take shape. In the first months of 2021, procurement began under the auspices of two NGOs - the Loksi Blues-Café Sociocultural Association and the Főszerző Egyesület - supported by several private entrepreneurs and natural persons. In addition to the financial resources, 14 enthusiastic volunteers from different fields helped to get started. The studio was completed by March 1, 2021, and test broadcasts started on the 15th.
The name of the radio established in Brasov, in the city of Korona, cannot be any other than KORONA RÁDÍÓ. Our mission from Barcaság is to serve the Hungarian community, so we proudly declare that "Korona Rádió, the voice of Barcaság!". The key words of our community service are: community, identity, authenticity, immediacy, Hungarianness. We believe that good social life is based on proper communication. The radio wants to be the mouthpiece of the community, the main source of information in the spirit of authenticity and immediacy.
