Le MIV Description
MIV is a free application in French and English, dedicated to the visit of the Museum of wind instruments of La Couture-Boussey.
The first museum in France dedicated to instrument making, created in 1888 by the workers of the Syndicate in musical instruments, it is today labeled "Musée de France": the museum preserves, enhances and keeps alive the memory of the makers, companies, women and men who have worked and still work in the region.
Located in Normandy, 90 kilometers from Paris, the museum aims to convey the economic, social and artistic history of La Couture-Boussey and the surrounding villages, through remarkable collections of instruments (flutes, clarinets, oboes, bassoons, ...), archives, tools and machines, witnesses of the intensity of the production of wind instruments at La Couture-Boussey since the 1700s.
