Left Hand Robotics Description
Left Hand Robotics has developed the first commercial-class, self-driving snow clearing robot capable of removing snow from sidewalks and walkways. The SnowBot Pro uses advanced GPS technology to follow a pre-determined path and an array of sensors to avoid obstacles during operation. Its rotating brush clears a sidewalk from edge-to-edge in a single pass to meet even the highest standards.
The SnowBot app is part of the end-to-end SnowBot Pro solution. Please refer to the Robot Operations Center (ROC) user manual, the Base Station, and the Path Collection tool user manuals, and the SnowBot Pro user manual for a complete picture of SnowBot Pro operations and best practices.
With the SnowBot app, you can control and monitor the tactical operation of your SnowBot Pro.
Log in to use the SnowBot app to select a pre-defined job site. Within that job site, select a pre-defined path with pre-defined actions for the SnowBot Pro to follow. After you have switched on the SnowBot Pro, use the SnowBot app to drive the robot to the path starting point. The app drives the robot much like a video game controller. The app's map feature helps you locate the robot at the path starting point. Once you are at the starting point, enable autonomous operation and the Snowbot Pro gets to work.
During autonomous operation, monitor the app to see the SnowBot's progress. If the Snowbot's safety sensors detect an unexpected object in its path, the app will notify you and you must either clear the object from the robot's path or steer the robot around the object so it can continue its path.
Once the robot has completed its path, use the Snowbot app to select its next path within the job site and use the app to drive the robot to its next starting point.
After completing snow removal work at the job site, use the app to drive the robot to its resting place.
