Lights Out - Old Time Radio Description
📻
Enjoy the fun and excitement of listening to thrilling Old Time Radio horror shows. Experience a professional cast of actors, great scripts and thrilling suspense.
Lights Out was first heard on American radio in January 1934. Wyllis Cooper is credited with creating Lights Out. He wrote the scripts for the radio program until June 1936. Mr. Cooper was replaced by a young writer named Arch Oboler.
Mr. Oboler kept the stream-of-consciousness narration technique that
Wyllis Cooper had made famous. Both Cooper and Oboler were
imaginative and prolific writers. As a result, Lights Out became a
popular and well written radio program for years.
Lights Out was cancelled in 1939, but only for a while. Arch Oboler
revived the program in 1942 . That revival ended in 1943. In the summer of 1947, Lights Out was again revived for the final time.
