Look to see Description
LOOK TO SEE is a simple app designed to enable stimulation of eyesight and support practice of its elementary functions, such as fixation, visual tracking, sight transfer, visual search and hand-eye coordination development. The app has been primarily created in mind with medical rehabilitation of children with vision impairments, therefore it is characterised with high-contrast and very visible, simple elements. Main inspiration for designing LOOK TO SEE comes from our individual work with children with vision impairments and with concomitant impairments (multiple disabilities). The app is divided into two parts. Part 1 can be used for stimulation of sight, facilitating sight awareness and basic hand-eye coordination. This part features four games:
Stripes
Drum of colours
Fireworks
Spiral
Part 2 is dedicated to strengthening basic sight functions, like extending fixation periods, vertical, horizontal, diagonal and circular tracking, sight transfer and motion-to-vision coordination. For the sake of children with varied degrees of vision impairments, LOOK TO SEE introduced an extremely useful feature that allows to adjust the size and speed of moving objects to child’s needs. Part 2 includes four games alike:
Animals
Balloons
Fruit and vegetables
Stars
