Mafia Game App Description
Choose your house rules and play!!!!
Objective
The objective is for the Mafia to eliminate the Townspeople without being discovered, while the Townspeople aim to identify and eliminate the Mafia members.
Setup
Players: 4-30 players.
Moderator: The app acts as the moderator.
Initial Setup
Enter Player Details:
Start the app and select the number of players.
Enter each player’s name in the generated text boxes. Each name must be unique, and no text box should be left empty.
Privacy Note: Name data is saved on the device storage only and is not shared.
Role Selection:
Uncheck any roles you do not want to include in the game.
For each checked role, specify the number of players for that role. Ensure every role textbox has a number.
The Mafia role cannot be unchecked.
Assign Roles:
Tap "Submit" to generate buttons with each player's name.
Pass the phone around. Each player taps their name to see their role, then clicks "Back" and passes the phone to the next player.
If roles were seen by the wrong person, tap "Redo Roles" to reassign roles.
Begin the Game:
Once everyone knows their role, tap "Ready."
Sit in a circle around the phone.
Game Phases
Night Phase:
Tap the picture of the village during the day to start the night phase.
The app prompts everyone to sleep.
After 5 seconds, the app will call on the Mafia to wake up and select a victim:
The Mafia taps the red strip, selects a player to eliminate, and then goes back to sleep.
The Doctor (if included) is prompted to wake up and choose a player to save.
The Officer (if included) is prompted to wake up and investigate a player.
The Cupid (if included, and only on the first night) is prompted to pair two players:
Tap the red strip to select the first player.
Tap the blue strip to select the second player.
Cupid can only make one pair and only on the first night.
Day Phase:
The app prompts everyone to wake up.
Tap "News Report" to see who was killed, if anyone was saved by the Doctor, and if any investigations or weddings occurred.
An optional narrator can read out the news report.
Voting:
If the game is still ongoing, tap "Go Back to Village" to initiate voting.
Players discuss and vote on a suspect. The player with the most votes is eliminated and reveals their role.
If neither the Mafia is arrested nor the Mafia wins, continue to the next round.
Repeat Phases:
Continue alternating between Night and Day phases until either all Mafia members are eliminated (Townspeople win) or the Mafia members equal or outnumber the remaining Townspeople (Mafia wins).
Special Roles
Doctor: Can save one person per night from being eliminated.
Officer: Can investigate one person per night to learn their role.
Cupid: Can pair two players as lovers on the first night only.
Little Child: Can peek during the night but must not be noticed by the Mafia, or they will be killed.
