"Tokyo Heterotopia" is a sightseeing app that allows you to travel to "Asia" while staying in Tokyo.
Following the map, the destinations are theaters, religious facilities, refugee camp sites, international student dormitories, graves, ethnic restaurants, zoos... When you arrive at your destination, you can listen to the story being read aloud. It is a story of what could have been at that place, based on the Asian people who visited Tokyo as international students, immigrants and refugees.
“Heterotopia” is a term coined by the philosopher Michel Foucault, and refers to an absolutely “other place” that exists in reality, unlike a utopia that does not exist in reality. Enjoy unknown Asia and Tokyo as a "heterotopia in reality".
[How to use the app]
*Choose a destination and arrange your trip freely!
When you launch the app, the entire map of "Tokyo Heterotopia" will be displayed. When you select the icon of the visited place, you can see the name and category. Tap the ">" mark displayed on the right to move to the individual visited page. In the Visited Places list, you can check the names and story titles in a list view.
*Guide to guide your trip
On individual destination pages, you can learn about the name of the destination, the category, the name of the author who wrote the story, the reader, and the history of the destination. Please try to touch various "Asia" in Tokyo.
*To “Asia in Tokyo”
Visit Heterotopia with an access map in hand. It is recommended to use public transportation after going nearby.
* Stories that could have been heard in the visited places
When you arrive at a visiting location, a play button will appear and you will be able to replay the story reading.
* Collect Heterotopia
In the list of places visited, places you have visited are indicated by voice marks. Once visited, you will be able to replay the story reading at any time. The number of places visited will continue to increase.
