Meister Schafkopf Description
Strong playing Schafkopf program. One player plays against three computer-simulated players. The risk behavior of the players can be adjusted. Options range from conservative (reserved, almost "masonry") to very risk-averse. This enables playing styles that appeal to both beginners and strong players. The selection of cards played is also random in some situations, so that the program behavior is unpredictable.
Possible games are call games, Farbwenz, Geier, Wenz, Solo. Farbwenz, Geier and Wenz are optional. Poking and doubling is also optional. Contra is possible as long as the player still has all the cards. Return before the player plays the next card after the double.
The program knows and uses the usual Schafkopf conventions such as playing a high trump when called, but not slavishly.
The Schafkopf rules used are here
described. Exception: For Touts, Schneider and Schwarz are also included in the calculation.
I, the programmer of the app, enjoy playing with the program. The app plays quickly, takes risks without being too careless, is not so easy to calculate and always presents opponents with tricky tasks.
Please report any moves that appear illogical via a problem report. This is always possible when it is your turn. To do this, please press the menu button (sometimes twice) and select the option “Report: Current game” or “Report: Last game”. Add a short description such as "in the third trick, the green ace on the left must play." I process all reports.
