General goal:
Improvement of public health services in Južnobačka, Zapadnobačka District, Osijek-Baranja and Požega-Slavonia Counties in relation to early detection of mosquito-borne diseases by improving cross-border mosquito surveillance and control
Specific objectives:
Improvement of cross-border coordination of mosquito prevention, surveillance and control activities and establishment of an early warning system for the presence of mosquito-borne diseases.
Effective control of the mosquito population (those originating from Europe as well as invasive species of mosquitoes) in Zapadnobačka and Južnobačka districts, Osijek-Baranja and Požega-Slavonia counties by reducing mosquito breeding grounds and measures to control adults by environmentally responsible mosquito control
Education of the public and representatives of local self-government units on mosquito control and control measures and on the dangers of mosquito-borne diseases.

Mapped mosquito breeding grounds
Enhanced Manual for the Surveillance of Malaria, Chikungunya, Dengue, West Nile and Invasive Mosquito Species
Enhanced Common Protocol for Emergency and Outbreak Preparedness
Recommendations for local self-government units in the Juznobački District and the Požega-Slavonia County
Introduction of sampling services in order to assess the presence of invasive species of mosquitoes in the project area
Mosquito control billboards
Ecological traps for mosquito control
Educated health workers in local governments
An integrated cross-border system (IT tools) for monitoring mosquitoes and the diseases they transmit and a mobile application
Raising public awareness
Target groups:
Local self-government units, schools, citizens (elderly population) and health workers.
