Musée Archéologique d'Arlon Description
The excavations conducted in the territory of the province of Luxembourg have revealed the remains that testify to the rich Gallo-Roman culture in which we discover the different facets in the Archaeological Museum of Arlon.
The museum displays many artifacts unearthed in tombs and on settlement sites showing the skills of artisans there 2000 years.
One of the museum's features is its impressive lapidary collection, composed of dozens of fragments of funerary and religious monuments. Their exceptional conservation is due to re-use in the foundations of the wall built in Arlon in the late third century.
The Archaeological Museum of Arlon is a recognized museum of Wallonia-Brussels.
